Elegant pewter bowl by the Stockholm firm C.G. Hallberg, crafted in 1932 as confirmed by base markings. The sophisticated, spherical form features ornate handles characteristic of the Swedish Grace period. A discreetly etched inscription, “Av vänner 1932” (“from friends, 1932”), lends a subtle sense of provenance and personal history.
The design is attributed to Sylvia Stave, who began creating pieces for Hallberg while still a student at Konstfack and later served as the company’s artistic director from 1931 to 1939.
