Cubist Sculpture I

Figural wood sculpture signed Atelier Boulogne, c. 1960s. 

The sculpture features a stylized head and face carved from solid wood that has been stained and painted. Base bottom inscribed "Atelier Boulogne" and indistinctly numbered. Though details about Atelier Boulogne remain scarce, the craftsmanship displayed in this piece suggests a profound understanding and mastery of wood as a medium.
