Large wall plate by Finnish sculptor Wäinö Aaltonen (1894–1966) for the ceramic manufacturer Kupittaan Savi, produced in the 1930s. The circular plate features a relief of a female nude in motion, surrounded by flowing ribbons — a subject very much in the spirit of the Art Deco era. Equally at home hung on a wall, displayed on a shelf, or placed on a table as a decorative dish.
• Condition: In great vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. A very small glaze flake present on the back of the rim, best seen from the side — not noticeable from the front.
• Dimensions: Diameter: 35 cm (13.8"), depth 4.5 (1.8")
