Patinated Bronze Box
Patinated Bronze Box
A small square bronze vase, originally intended as a cigarette box, designed by Jacob Ängman for GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget) in the 1930s. Each of the vase's four sides is adorned with relief sculptures of human figures in various poses, reflecting the classical and mythological themes characteristic of the period.
The piece has a copper-like finish and features a rich, aged patina that enhances the depth of the reliefs and gives the piece a warm, antique appearance. While it can function as a stylish holder for items like pencils, it also serves as an elegant decorative piece that complements other small interior objects.
