Functionalist table lamp by Eda Glasbruk, Sweden, late 1930s. Hand-blown in green-tinted glass with horizontal banding and patinated brass fittings. Paired with a new white linen lampshade.
Founded in Värmland in 1835, Eda was once one of Sweden’s largest glassworks. After closing in 1933, it was restarted by its own glassblowers, who ran it on a smaller scale until 1940. This lamp comes from that short period, when the glassblowers ran the works themselves and the pieces were made without named designers.
