Cast Iron Wall Relief

Cast iron wall plaque by renowned Swedish silversmith, designer, and sculptor Ulla Fogelklou-Skogh (1913–1986). Crafted in the 1960s for the company Ystad Metall, this striking relief features intricate, almost mystical artistry. The piece bears her monogram signing and is fitted with a hanging leather strap.

Ulla Fogelklou-Skogh was a pioneering Swedish artist who achieved international acclaim in the 1930s. Her distinctive work features intricate designs with mythological and symbolic motifs. Born in Gothenburg in 1913, Fogelklou-Skogh studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Stockholm before establishing herself as a master craftsperson. Her innovative creations in silver, cast iron, bronze, glass, and textiles established her as a central figure in defining the aesthetic and cultural identity of Swedish decorative arts during the golden age of Swedish Modernism.
