Carved Soaptstone Trinket Box

Hand carved box in soapstone with decoration of a lotus flower. Chinese, early 20th century. 

The soapstone bears resemblance to marble with flickers of different colours running through it. A really well made piece with lots of uses or just nice as display.

Small, hardly noticeable restoration on the lid (as can be seen in the last photo). Price is set accordingly.
