Stoneware vase by Wilhelm Kåge for Gustavsberg, 1940s.
Hand-thrown with remarkable attention to detail and finished in Kåge's signature matte white Carrara glaze. Developed in the 1930s, the 'Carrara' series takes its name and character from Carrara marble.
This piece demonstrates the Swedish Modern approach to ceramics: clean lines, tactile surfaces, and restrained elegance that reads as both period and contemporary. A fine example of Swedish ceramic art.
