A majestic table lamp in mottled, matte green-glazed stoneware. Umarked, but designed by Wilhelm Kåge for Gustavsberg, Sweden, 1930s. The body flanked by looped handles and raised on a stepped foot, it was likely originally conceived as an urn, later converted into a lamp. Fitted with a turned, dark-stained wood cap and patinated brass hardware.
Sold without lampshade.
Condition
In great condition with some minimal surface wear, consistent with age and use.
Wiring
Newly rewired with a black, twisted textile cord. Fitted with an E27 socket and Euro Type C plug.
