Pewter Box by GAB

An elegantly simple rectangular box resting on four ornamental feet, crafted from polished pewter. The lid features a sleek, stylized rectangular decoration in bakelite and pewter, while the interior is lined with warm birch wood. Originally designed for storing cigarillos, it also serves beautifully as a jewelry box. Created in 1935 by an unknown designer for Guldsmedsaktiebolaget (GAB).


Markings
The bottom is market: GAB - Svensk Vara, I8 (1935), with the Stockholm hallmark.

Condition
In good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, including light scratches. The box can be polished to restore its original shine.
