A flared pewter vase, decorated with horizontal bands of brass and an engraved inscription to one side. Originally designed in the 1930s by Estrid Ericson for her company Firma Svenskt Tenn, with this example produced in the 1950s. A rare object from one of Swedish design history's most influential figures.

Markings
Stamped to base with the Firma Svenskt Tenn maker's mark and year code 'C9', confirming production in 1954. Engraved to one side with an inscription commemorating a marksmanship prize awarded by a unit of the Swedish army.
Condition
Patina and surface wear throughout, including light scratches and handling marks. Corrosion to the interior. No dents.
