A rare pair of Swedish Art Deco candlesticks in patinated bronze, designed by Sune Bäckström and produced by Einar Bäckström's Metallvarufabrik in Malmö. The Bäckström brothers founded this lighting fixture manufacturer in 1918, establishing themselves as prominent figures in Swedish metalwork design of that era.
These pieces feature distinctive scalloped bases reminiscent of stylized clouds. They function equally well as sculptural objects or as candlesticks for their intended purpose, designed to hold standard-sized candles.
