Pewter Vase, 1938

Modernist pewter vase by GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget), Sweden. The tall, fluted design sits on a sculptural base with flowing, flame-like details, exemplifying the transition from Art Deco ornament to the restrained Swedish modernist style. It works beautifully displayed with flowers or alongside other decorative pieces. Marked on the base with the GAB maker's mark and "M8" dating code, confirming 1938 production.
