Sylvia Stave (1908-1994) served as artistic director at C.G. Hallberg from 1931-1939, where her minimalist approach and attention to material integrity captivated both Swedish and international audiences. Influenced by the Bauhaus movement, she designed avant-garde, functionalist utensils defined by geometric shapes and restrained ornamentation. During her tenure, Stave helped translate the industrial aesthetic into refined craftsmanship that appealed to an exclusive, form-conscious clientele, firmly establishing C.G. Hallberg’s reputation as a pioneer in modern design
