Large Pewter Plate

Large decorative pewter plate by sculptor Olof Ahlberg for Schreuder & Olsson, Sweden. The wavy, faceted rim swirls with water and fish in low relief. Originally designed in the early 20th century in the characteristic Jugendstil manner, this example was manufactured in 1969, as confirmed by base markings. Substantial enough to serve as a fruit platter, or simply beautiful on its own as a decorative object.
