Ceramic Plate by Tilgmans Keramik

Ceramic plate / bowl by the Swedish manufacturer Tilgmans Keramik. Beautiful decoration in semi-glossy glaze of a fishes in lovely pale colours. The sides of the plate are a bit up folded which gives it a more three dimensional design.

Design by the famous Polish designer Marian Zawadzki, who worked at Tilgmans and created the technique of carving fine lines into the background. Grey and light coloured glaze created a unique textured ground which has become a style associated with Tilgman’s in their early period.
